Hi Folks,
Make sure you have FJET pulled up.
Starfighters Space (NYSE: FJET) announced today a date around the next major step in its STARLAUNCH program.
The company is advancing STARLAUNCH 1 toward a planned captive-carry flight in December.
And this isn't simply another development target tossed onto a presentation.
FJET says the airframe design has been finalized, flight hardware has been ordered, and the inert hardware is expected to arrive at its Kennedy Space Center hangar in November.
Then comes integration and testing.
From the Hangar to the Air
The December mission would carry STARLAUNCH 1 beneath the wing of one of FJET's F-104 aircraft on a flight between Kennedy Space Center and Cecil Spaceport in Jacksonville.
No rocket separation yet. No powered launch.
That's important.
This is an incremental test designed to evaluate aircraft integration, gather flight data and establish procedures for later missions.
If completed, management plans to follow it with a drop test over the Atlantic, then a demonstration of the integrated propulsion system.
That gives us something I always like to see with an early-stage aerospace story: specific milestones we can actually track.
There's Another Piece to Watch
FJET says the flight may also carry its recently completed Wind Tunnel in the Sky hardware beneath the opposite wing on a customer-funded rideshare mission.
That caught my attention.
It potentially puts FJET's two developing businesses on the same aircraft: high-speed aerospace testing and STARLAUNCH development.
Meanwhile, data from the December flight is expected to support propulsion partner Vaya Defense & Space as it develops a hybrid rocket motor aligned with STARLAUNCH 1.
That's enough for me to keep this one close.
Pull up FJET and keep it on your screen.
To Your Success,

Kevin Vander
